Appsense CCA Agent debug logs

To create debug logs for the Appsense CCA Agent set the following registry keys:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AppSense Technologies\Communications Agent]
“DebugLevel”=dword:0000000a
“DebugFile”=”d:\\logs\\cca-log.txt”

This is useful for debugging any event uploads, package downloads and license issues.

To create a debug log for the watchdog service, stop the service and add a start parameter of “-log d:\watchdog.log” and restart the service.

Note: For the appsense CCA debug log registry entires above, for v8 of the CCA you no longer need to add the DebugLevel value. Just specifying the DebugFile parameter generates a verbose log.
